Christ-Focused Valentine’s Day…

As far as days go, very few seem to be as controversial as Valentine’s Day. No matter who you ask, someone has an opinion about it and that opinion tends to sway depending on the situation.

A person in a relationship may find the day full of possibility and love, whereas someone who’s recently had their heart broken could find themselves dreading Valentines, out of hurt and fear of being alone.

While the promotion of Valentine’s Day can seem cheesy and a little sappy, when it comes down to it it’s a celebration of love. And as Christians who can experience God’s unconditional love, we have a lot to celebrate!

Remembering John 3:16; ‘For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life’ as you head into this Valentine’s Day and keep your focus on the love display that is far greater than any amount of roses or teddy bears.

How could you share Christ’s love to others this Valentine’s Day?

Knowing a God of Grace

Last month I was in car accident. I’d like to say I took it in my stride. That I ran straight to all my mates, hands raised in praises and hallelujahs. Realistically, I sat in the ambulance sobbing—and I spent the next few days staring into space and moving from bed to chair to couch…

Audacious Prayers

It’s funny how God uses all things to spread His word, even social media. Scrolling through my feed recently, I saw an image with this quote on it: ‘If all your prayers were answered, would it change the world or just yours?’ I’m gonna be real here, it hit me pretty hard and made me…

My feet have just landed back on Australian soil; jetlag is still heavy in my eyelids. What an adventure to travel to America with my family (including our active one-year-old toddler!). Jesus Isn’t Threatened By Your Christmas Gifts

Christmas is fast approaching and, not surprisingly, my kids are looking forward to seeing what’s under the tree. The girls, at least, are still young enough that they are waiting with bated breath to learn what treasures they’ll be receiving. I love this.
